Adaptogen Chai Hot Toddy

A botanical negroni in a pretty orange glass with raised bumps on the outside. There is an orange slice and fennel frond for a garnish.

This isn’t your average nightcap. Warming, grounding, and full of immune-supportive botanicals, this version of the beloved hot toddy features a steep of our Root to Flower tea paired with our Adaptogen Chai herbal tea concentrate for an added dose of plant-powered support. It’s the perfect fireside sipper—whether you’re winding down after a chilly day on the slopes, cozying up with a book, or giving your immune system a little extra love.

Want to skip the spirits? Swap the brandy for warm milk and transform it into a dreamy adaptogen chai latte!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Brandy or Bourbon

  • 1oz Adaptogen Chai syrup

  • 4 oz freshly steeped Root to Flower Herbal Tea (or hot water)

  • Cinnamon stick + lemon slice for a garnish

A visual representation of step one - a figure is pouring gin into a jigger measuring out the 1.5 oz the recipe calls for. The other recipe ingredients are lined up in the foreground of the shot.

Step One

Brew 1 tablespoon Root to Flower tea in 8oz hot water. Cover and let steep for 15 min before straining.

Step Two

Add the Adaptogen Chai Botanical syrup in an insulated glass mug (or coffee cup) along with your brandy of choice.

Step Three

Top mug off with strained root to flower tea, a squeeze of lemon and a dropperful of our Adaptogen Chai Bitters (optional, but delightful).

Step Four

Garnish with edible flowers, citrus wedge, and whole star anise. Sip and enjoy
